For CBD Hemp
These strains tend to be shorter and “fatter” than their fiber hemp cousins. You will want to plant your seeds further apart if you are growing for high yield CBD flower or biomass. We generally see our growers planting 2500-3000 seeds per acre to help with weed suppression and to achieve an optimum yield per acre. Planting density will depend on the strain and your growing techniques. We generally plant CBD seeds at a depth of around 1/8 to 1/2 inch, depending on soil type.
If you sow seeds mechanically, you can use conventional seeding equipment to plant hemp seeds with no other special equipment required. Most regular drills and planters can be used with minimal alternation or adjustments. Once the seeds are planted, it is recommended to roll and pack the soil.
*EPA lists both herbicides and pesticides in the same classification.
